The story of our company in a nutshell
Interzona-X Ltd. is a Budapest-based consultancy practice founded by Gergely Gubacsi in 2008.
Mr Gubacsi started his consulting career at Deloitte (formerly called Deloitte & Touche) in 2000. With an MSc from economics,
he was originally engaged with efficiency improvement (aka “lean manufacturing”) projects at manufacturing plants. Thanks to his interest in programming, in 2002 he changed focus to develop long-run incremental costing models (MS Excel / Visual Basic applications) to cellular operators.
In 2003 Mr Gubacsi left Deloitte and joined Vertis PLC (Vertis Environmental Finance at the time.) Vertis had a strong focus on climate change and emissions trading playing a part in both policy-making and client advisory from the very beginning.
Based on the knowledge and expertise of emissions trading, combined with the strong consulting background , back in 2008 did Mr Gubacsi found Interzona-X Climate Change Advisory and Management Consulting Ltd, his very-own business with a primary focus on emissions trading-related consulting and advisory.
Interzona has developed valuable partnerships and a massive clienthood and had the privilige to work for all major operators in Hungary. Its main service line is CO2 outsourcing, a consulting service that enables clients to get rid of the burden of CO2 activities by employing a professional firm that does all the bits and pieces of monitoring, reporting, allowance and permit applications, forecasts and decision-making support.
Besides the project based work, Interzona is also a returning presenter on workshops and other related events, usually interpreting new or modified EUETS legislation to its audience.
